Chutes Victoria, Mosi-ao-Tuya // Victoria Falls, Mosi-oa-Tunya
En s’approchant des Chutes Victoria, la plus grande cascade dans le monde, on peut voir et entendre un panache de tonnerre de brouillard et de pulvérisation bien avant d’apercevoir ces chutes spectaculaires, donnant lieu à la dénomination traditionnelle de ce site classé au patrimoine mondial de l’UNESCO, Mosi-au-Tuya, littéralement la fumée qui gronde. Situé sur le fleuve Zambèze, les Chutes Victoria sont à cheval sur la frontière entre le Zimbabwe et la Zambie.
Upon approaching Victoria Falls, the largest waterfall in the world, one can see and hear a thunderous plume of mist and spray well before sighting these spectacular falls, giving rise to the traditional name for this UNESCO world heritage listed site, Mosi-au-Tuya, literally The Smoke that Thunders. Located on the Zambezi river, Victoria Falls straddles the border between Zimbabwe and Zambia. -
